Megan Karr is the creative force behind MK Designs, bringing more than 18 years of focused experience in kitchen, bath, and residential design. As a Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer (CKBD) and Cabinetry Specialist through the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), she combines technical precision with thoughtful design to create spaces that are both beautiful and built to last.

A graduate of Harrington College of Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design, Megan began her career immersed in cabinetry—spending eight years mastering the construction details, internal components, and specifications that make exceptional millwork truly function.

She later joined a respected design-build firm in the Chicago suburbs, where she spent a decade leading the residential design team and collaborating closely with builders and trades. There, she honed her expertise in construction documentation, material specification, and guiding projects seamlessly from concept through completion.

Megan is known for her meticulous attention to detail, clear communication, and ability to anticipate challenges before they become costly change orders. Her approach is both structured and collaborative—ensuring every decision is intentional, every detail is considered, and every client feels confident throughout the process.
